What is Community Gardens?
Community Gardens is a family-owned business in Bastrop, TX that offers a unique combination of services. It is a nursery specializing in locally grown plants and trees, has a restaurant, a coffee shop that brews locally sourced coffee, and a venue hosting events, concerts, corporate parties, baby and bridal showers, retirement parties, banquets, and more!
The owners take pride in their commitment to sustainability, sourcing plants from local growers, and having several local businesses within our offices, including a non-profit, a pond company, and some local vendors. The nursery is a favorite among plant enthusiasts, while the restaurant and coffee shop are popular for their delicious and wholesome menus. The venue is a picturesque setting for banquets and special occasions, with a large backyard great for events or spending time enjoying food or drink, with plenty of space and a playscape for kids. Visitors to this small business can enjoy a full day of activities, from browsing the plant selection to sipping coffee and dining.

Community Gardens is a unique business. We have partners where we form a symbiotic relationship to help one another grow as businesses, but we also have our own segments that are run by our employees.
Community Gardens has a full garden center with seasonal plant deliveries, landscape design services on-site, and a robust selection of herbs, veggies, annuals, perennials, trees, bushes, shrubs, tropicals, succulents, water plants, and more! Come fall, we have mums and our renowned pumpkin patch. Look for workshops, garden-center-- focused events, and other exciting things in the near future!
Community Gardens also has a landscape designer and installation crew as part of its staff. We can design and install landscape projects from small to large.
